The content editor of The Celtic Way let his mask slip last night as he watched the League Cup semi-final at Hampden.
With circulation, readership and advertising going through the floor at the Herald and Evening Times the Newsquest group came up with a cunning plan to try and develop a digital share of the market.
Noting the power, strength, growth and influence of independent sites such as Video Celts, Newsquest decided to jump on board by launching The Celtic Way in tandem with the Rangers Review.
Ibrox blogger and former Daily Record minnow Jonny McFarlane was brought in to mastermind the operation for the subscription based sites which brought in big names such as Alison McConnell and Christopher Jack to straddle the mainstream and independent markets.
Some handball assist by Jota for Celtic’s winner. Bankier’s referee AGM speech worked a treat?

Hurting much? Aye, worked a treat when Rooney smashed Welsh out the game and got a yellow. Fanny.

Nick Walsh was abysmal all day today. He also missed a stonewall red card for Rooney after he took Welsh’s head off with an elbow. pic.twitter.com/tiTo7nLxP4

Any opinion on why Bryson wasn’t booked for professional foul on Jota and would have been off after the incident with kyogo? Or any reason why rooney wasn’t sent off? Or do these questions not fit your agenda?

The Celtic Way twitter account was set up in March of this year with the site launching in July in time for the start of the new season. Just over 5,000 Twitter followers would suggest a slow burner.
With Aidan Smith letting his guard slip The Celtic Way has a lot of work to do to capture the trust of the market they are aiming for.
Smith may delete last night’s tweet or backtrack but in the digital age his secret is out.
