Gerrard’s deed to me- Celtic fans celebrate relaunch of The Banter Years
The Banter Years are back with Celtic fans all onboard the Gerrard Express.
A slow unfolding car crash has taken place this week with the star of the show slipping into London yesterday to leave his once adoring followers in dismay.
On October 21, live on BT Sport he told off Emma Dodds for asking stupid questions about speculation he would be leaving Ibrox, it seems that the questions put to him by Aston Villa weren’t quite so stupid.
The events of Sunday November 7 will take a lot of explaining. With his brogues and poppy in place Gerrard joined in a Remembrance Ceremony at the John Greig Statue. Before kick-off he stood to attention as a cannon was fired. After the match, his media duties he jumped in a car, headed down the M74 and is unlikely to darken the Manager’s Office at Ibrox ever again.
It proved to be too much for one loyal fan, there wasn’t much sympathy coming his way across Twitter.
