Knee deep in Tory sleaze scandal- Douglas Three Jobs Ross under fire from Ian Blackford

Ian Blackford has accused Douglas Ross of being knee deep in Tory sleaze.

Since the failed attempt to save the skin of Owen Patterson the outside interests and incomes of Tory MPs has been in the spotlight.

Most Tory’s go to great length to cover their tracks but the trusted SFA match official was picking up fees at televised football matches and ‘forgot’ to record it with the Westminster Standards Commissioner.

Between August and December 2020 Ross was on the line at eight fixtures in Glasgow, all conveniently at the weekend as well as getting international pay days at Wembley and Luxembourg.

Before injury struck in January, Ross was given the following fixtures last season:

19 September Celtic v Livingston SPFL

27 September Celtic v Hibs SPFL

1 November Celtic v Aberdeen Scottish Cup

29 November Celtic v Ross County League Cup

He was also given four Ibrox weekend matches to help with his Tory commitments. An assistant referee is paid £425 for a Premiership match plus mileage, hotel costs and meals.
