Radio Scotland dug-out Richard Gough to get an insight into yesterday’s League Cup semi-final defeat for Sevco at Hampden.

It was a real step back in time as the former Rangers defender went down the No Surrender route in response to Connor Goldson’s dramatic post match interview.

Admitting that team mates had lost their hunger coupled with the confession that the match was over at 3-1 jarred a few nerves among fans with Gough weighing in in predictable fashion.

Gough gave all the predictable anecdotes of the good old days, a dressing room full of men, full of leaders, anyone stepping out of line would soon be sorted out by their peers.

No Surrender was mentioned a few times without any comment from Tom English or Kenny MacIntyre as they drooled over Gough’s tales from the past.

The death in 2012 of the old club seems to have escaped Gough as he droned on about the demands of ‘Rangers’, a culture of winning ignoring the fact that in their first nine years only a Petrofac Cup has reached the Blue Room.

In April 2020 BBC Scotland had Gregory Campbell from the DUP on as a guest for Saturday Sportsound.

Apparently he admitted to never actually seeing the game, so it would appear they got him on to shout No Surrender. The nest of huns over at BBC Scotland just gets more and more desperate and egregious.

And we are all paying for it via the licence fee.

Born in Sweden, brought up in South Africa, Captain of Scotland…oh, and a small matter of a sex scandal (that’s being tactful). The guy is nothing more than a racist beast and should be nowhere near civilians.

  • Dominic Hannah says:

Unbelievable BBC or is it??? What if big Sutton was on and said up the ra,, they’d have made a full blown documentary about it would the BBC,,

  • WILLIAM MILLER says:

Every Celtic fan should contact the BBC and complain about this

This should be brought to everyone’s attention.

What chance do we have as a progressive society in a nation that is essentially sectarian, Protestant and anti catholic?

Which is allowed a voice using high profile sports “personalities” via certain medium and is actually encouraged!!!

I mean in what other country on earth can a referee be allowed to officiate a massive derby in world football, and then go to a supporters club/bar of one of the clubs involved on the same night?!

Or a member of a countries football association hierarchy be found guilty of deliberately holding back a players registration of a club?! And is subsequently sacked for this cheating act?! Namely Jim Farry.

Or what about if this same club is consistently denied blatantly obvious wrong refereeing decisions against us and for our biggest rivals? And has even been proven when referees have admitted lying to the club’s manager after another “honest mistake”.

There have also been numerous occasions where anti catholic actions from high profile members of Scottish football have been proven e.g. Hugh Dallas sending vile emails about the Pope.

It’s NEVER going to end unless this is called out.

  • J says:

    Horrible anti Catholic country

  • Thomas Cochrane says:

The BBC that well known bastion of free speech and modernation ! as long as one agrees with their antideluvian attitude, and know your place.
