Radio Scotland dug-out Richard Gough to get an insight into yesterday’s League Cup semi-final defeat for Sevco at Hampden.
It was a real step back in time as the former Rangers defender went down the No Surrender route in response to Connor Goldson’s dramatic post match interview.
Admitting that team mates had lost their hunger coupled with the confession that the match was over at 3-1 jarred a few nerves among fans with Gough weighing in in predictable fashion.
I see Richard Gough has just come out with a vile sectarian slogan while talking about Rangers Int. Unsurprisingly, no apology/retraction. Well it is Glasgow’s @BBCScotland @BBCSportScot where sectarianism is such a part of life they don’t think it’s wrong. @BBC @scotgov

Is Richard Gough being allowed on Radio Scotland to shout “no surrender”….I’m sure there’s a reason he was shunned from Scottish football..

Richard Gough giving it the “No Surrender” patter on @BBCSportsound . An utter bore on top of it.

Gough gave all the predictable anecdotes of the good old days, a dressing room full of men, full of leaders, anyone stepping out of line would soon be sorted out by their peers.
No Surrender was mentioned a few times without any comment from Tom English or Kenny MacIntyre as they drooled over Gough’s tales from the past.
The death in 2012 of the old club seems to have escaped Gough as he droned on about the demands of ‘Rangers’, a culture of winning ignoring the fact that in their first nine years only a Petrofac Cup has reached the Blue Room.
In April 2020 BBC Scotland had Gregory Campbell from the DUP on as a guest for Saturday Sportsound.
