Ange Postecoglou makes two changes to the Celtic side that lost to Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday for the SPFL clash with Aberdeen.
James McCarthy starts his fourth match of the season, replacing the injured Nir Bitton while Liel Abada comes in for James Forrest who is on the bench.
Today’s match is the start of a very hectic domestic period for Celtic with selective squad management essential over the next five weeks.
Aberdeen have Scott Brown in their side but are in the wrong half of the table following back-to-back defeats from Motherwell and Dundee United.
With Hearts beating St Mirren yesterday Celtic start the match in third place but a win today followed by full points against Robbie Neilson’s side on Thursday will put the hoops in a strong position.
Kevin Clancy is today’s referee.
CELTIC: Hart; Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Welsh, Juranovic; McCarthy, McGregor, Turnbull; Abada, Kyogo, Jota
SUBS: Bain, Scales, Ajeti, Soro, Johnston, Forrest, Montgomery
