Twists & Turns- Ange heads to the theatre for special Celtic history lesson

Ange Postecoglou enjoyed a night at the theatre watching The Tommy Burns Story.

The current hoops boss enjoyed an emotional night of tears and laughter as the life and times of a former manager was brought to the stage at the Kerrydale Suite inside Celtic Park.

Seeing Postecoglou and his family among the audience must have given the cast an extra boost as they shared the highs and lows of a man born within a mile of Celtic Park whose life was intertwined with the club.

Signed as a teenager by Jock Stein he flourished under Billy McNeill to play a key role in the magical moments of the eighties- the 1985 Scottish Cup Final, Love Street and the Centenary Double.

An eventful and successful five year stint at Kilmarnock is often overlooked before Burns accepted the offer to return to Celtic in 1994. Only one trophy was won over three seasons but the side that he created helped fill the new stands at Celtic Park with the Three Amigos reviving what could have been a lost generation of supporters.

The Tommy Burns Show continues through until Saturday.
