Video: At home and off duty with Ange Postecoglou

Ange Postecoglou has given a very relaxed interview to Australian broadcaster Gerard Whateley.

Over the last five months Celtic fans have looked in as the Scottish media treat an Australian manager with mild curiosity, assuming that he understands very little about the local footballing environment.

Before Postecoglou’s first domestic match he was asked if he knew anything about Hearts, diplomatically he pointed out how he had selected a few Jambos to play for Australia during his time in charge of the Socceroos.

In this interview Postecoglou relates back to an Australian audience some of the realities of managing in Scotland, the demands and expectations of the club and supporters and what he demands of himself.

It looked like European football would by-pass an Aussie in his mid-fifties but things moved quickly in early summer with Celtic a higher profile club than the former Yokohama Marinos boss expected to attract.

There has been bumps and glitches but the overall experience on both sides has been positive, catching up again with an off-guard Ange in early January will make for compulsive viewing.
