New footage has emerged of the moment Charlie Adam’s world collapsed on the turf at Dens Park.
Taking a break from his multiple media commitments the former Liverpool star pulled on the captain’s armband for Dundee as he attempted to crush Celtic’s title challenge.
Two first half fouls brought a first half yellow card for Adam but the half-time interval gave him a 15 minute breather before attempting to impose his authority on the match.

When Tony Ralston found space down the right Adam saw an opportunity to use all of his bulk and experience against an opponents 13 years his junior.
Ralston saw it sign-posted, prepared for it and sent the Dundee midfielder sprawling on the turf. With a few seconds to spare the defender whipped the ball into the box with Jota timing his run perfectly to put Celtic 3-1 in front.
A few minutes later Kyogo Furuhashi put Celtic 4-1 in front with James McPake taking pity on his struggling skipper by taking him off before he suffered any further embarrassment.
