Normally when he gets a stupid question during a media conference Ange Postecoglou lets his feelings be known by putting mate into his reply/put down.
The Celtic boss lives up to the stereotype of the straight talking Aussie but does have a softer side and will often help out a reporter that hasn’t managed to get his question out in the right order.
Tomorrow night Celtic take on the fourth best team in Germany needing to take a point to retain hope of progressing in the Europa League.
It is an exciting tie with many angles, back in September Celtic lost 4-0 at home to the German side with tomorrow’s match offering a gauge to see what progress, if any, has been made.
Asking a character like Postecoglou about the match throws up all sorts of options and possibilities but for one reporter invited into today’s Zoom call there was a more pressing issue.
Hibs are upset that they are only getting 17,500 tickets for the League Cup Final, they took 10,000 to the semi. Presented with Ange Postecoglou before a Europa League tie a reporter wanted his thoughts on the Hibs ticket allocation!
Only in Scotland would that get asked. Imagine Pep rocking up at a press conference down South and some mad spotty journo asking him about ticket allocation? Hibs have got what they deserved after their pathetic turnout in the SF
