10 days? The hopeful Kyogo rumour

One credible Twitter account has suggested that Kyogo Furushashi will be back in the Celtic team to face Hibs in the League Cup Final.

The Hampden clash falls 10 days after the striker injured his hamstring in the Europa League tie against Real Betis. That would be the shortest of time spans to return from a hamstring injury but James Forrest could feature against Motherwell on Sunday- a week after feeling tightness in his hamstring away to Dundee United.

Most Celtic fans would be delighted to have a fully fit Kyogo available for the SPFL match against Hibs on December 29, the fixture before the Glasgow derby on January 2.

Ange Postecoglou is unlikely to speak to the media until giving a pre-match interview to Radio Scotland ahead of Sunday’s match with Motherwell.

Until then it looks like a diet of rumour and hearsay as Celtic supporters come to terms with all of their striking options being wiped out.
