Tony Ralston and James Forrest have both been pictured in training at Lennoxtown and look likely to be involved in the squad to face Motherwell tomorrow.

The defender has been out for two matches after being injured at home to Hearts while Forrest was replaced at half-time against Dundee United and missed the midweek win over Real Betis.

Ralston’s return alongside the performances of Greg Taylor and Liam Scales creates four options for the full-back places after almost a month of the Ralston-Juranovic pairing.

The win over Real Betis did throw up a few options for Postecoglou ahead of a run of seven matches between December 12 and January 2. Ewan Henderson, Scales and Osaze Urhoghide looked ready to play while James McCarthy got through 90 minutes.

There is no obvious choice as centre-forward but Liel Abada, Forrest and Mikey Johnston have all had stints in that role creating the possibility of rotating during matches with the goal threats of David Turnbull and Tom Rogic not far behind.
