Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Jota will miss the League Cup Final against Hibs on December 19.
The winger has been in devastating form since arriving on loan from Benfica at the end of August but could now be out of action until next month.
Midway through the second half of the win over Hearts on December 2 Jota pulled up with what looked like a hamstring injury.

Tom Rogic and Carl Starfelt have recently missed just over a month with hamstring issues with that timescale also likely for Jota.
Celtic’s medical team will have to assess if there is a chance of playing the 22-year-old in the Glasgow derby on January 2 or whether it is more sensible to give him the winter break to return fully fit for the Scottish Cup tie against Alloa on January 22.
Mikey Johnston replaced Jota against Hearts and played the full 90 minutes on Sunday against Dundee United.
