Ibrox fans have reacted with predictable fury to news that they won’t be able to attend Thursday’s Europa League tie away to Lyon.
Last week it was announced that 2,200 tickets had been given over to away supporters with another 1,000 ticketless fans expected to travel.
The local authorities announced that visiting fans would be banned from the city centre to prevent them from detracting from The Festival of Light which brings thousands of normal people to the city.
With the go-ahead to attend the match fans paid for pre-flight testing and booked up for tests in Lyon to allow them to return to blighty with a Day 2 PCR test also having to be paid for.
In mid-afternoon news came through that the French authorities had banned visiting fans with refunds being issued. It seems that the French economy is going to feel the full backlash of that decision.

Yes ban French wine in the U.K, have MI5 to blow up the Eiffel Tower, tell Macron we will stop buying French cheese too and no more holidays in St Tropez or Val s’Sere….because the French have no interest in being the next destination where the racists hordes converge.

Why would the French authorities disrupt (normal people’s), daily lives to experience the wangers/peepuls backward, dark aged, hillbilly attitude!!
Pretty sure the good folk of Lyon would like their city to remain intact..!!
So it’s Roquefort and a cheeky wee Pomerol for me this weekend in solidarity with our French freres repelling of the barbarian hun hordes from La Belle France.
Aux armes citoyens!
