It probably won’t make it into the short-list for goal of the season but there was no denying the brilliance of Celtic’s second goal at Tannadice yesterday.

Not included in the reel below is the miss that David Turnbull had minutes beforehand but that only adds to the pleasure of watching him find the net.

The slow motion camera captures brilliantly the back spin that Callum McGregor puts on his pass, the angle, weight and delivery were perfect but still left his team-mate with work to do.

Turnbull didn’t let his captain down, with a mix of instinct and natural ability his first touch lifted the ball over the onrushing Benji Siegrist, maintaining his balance the momentum of the former Motherwell man took him round the keeper into a position to tap the ball into the net as it was about to land.

It was the perfect complement for Tom Rogic’s solo opener, Celtic fans didn’t get the quantity that they expected in the first half of yesterday’s match but they won’t see that quality every week.
