Celtic have announced a further ballot of tickets for the League Cup Final against Hibs.

Despite the complaints of the Edinburgh side Celtic were given the North and East Stands with the South Stand split between the two clubs.

Celtic took over 40,000 fans to their semi-final win over St Johnstone but it seems that a significant number of eligible Season Ticket holders haven’t taken up the offer of a return ticket to Hampden.

The initial allocation was balloted among Season Ticket holders on the Home Cup Ticket Scheme who bought a ticket for the semi-final. After a ballot failed to claim all tickets those that missed out were offered a ticket.

Now Season Ticket holders who went to the semi-final but who aren’t on the HCTS but who attended the wins over Hearts, Raith Rovers and St Johnstone can pick up a ticket.

Late this morning the club announced:

These tickets have been balloted amongst Season Ticket holders who are:

Not on the Home Cup Ticket Scheme but who purchased tickets under their client ref for all three Premier Sport Cup matches: semi-final v St Johnstone, Raith Rovers and Hearts

Those who were successful in original ballot and did not purchase by the initial deadline are no longer eligible.

Two years ago today Celtic lifted their last trophy in front of fans, winning the League Cup thanks to a goal from Chris Jullien.
