Celtic overcame multiple dubious decisions from the match officials to beat Dundee United 3-0 at Tannadice.
Scottish football almost went into meltdown on Thursday night as Kris Boyd and Robbie Neilson went to pieces over a borderline decision that didn’t disallow a goal from Kyogo Furuhashi.
Throughout Friday various opinions were sought with Christophe Berra appearing to be the only person to admit that it was too close to call either way.
On the back of a wholly manufactured controversy over Celtic’s goal against Hearts, Crawford Allan, head of Refereeing at the SFA made an appearance on BBC Scotland’s Sportsound show on Saturday afternoon.
With no conclusive proof either way the man from the SFA claimed that the Celtic striker was probably offside. No other incidents this season were discussed in detail, not even Funso Ojo of Aberdeen getting sent off after being confronted and struck by a Dundee United fan.
Quite clearly the message sent out was that anything borderline involving Celtic the flag has to go up for offside.
To be blunt the assistant referee David Roome in front of the Jerry Kerr Stand had a nightmare. In the second minute he wrongly flagged Kyogo Furuhashi offside, in stoppage time his flag was up against Mikey Johnstone- again wrongly.
2 min, Kyogo wrongly flagged offside. Mission Accomplished by Crawford Allan.

Fortunately goals from Tom Rogic and David Turnbull overcame those decisions with Celtic going in at the interval 2-0 in front.

Just past the hour mark Callum Butcher produced a brutal attack on Turnbull’s left leg. Only a yellow card was issued.
People who paint a bad picture of Porteous’s tackles need to look at Callum Butcher, the guy is an animal

Liam Scales scored Celtic’s third goal but once again there were plenty of decisions from the match officials that left hoops fans puzzled and concerned.
