Celtic paid a heavy price during tonight’s 1-0 win over Hearts.

Tony Ralston was injured soon after setting up the only goal of the game, scored by Kyogo Furuhashi, midway through the second half Jota and Stephen Welsh were replaced with the winger appearing to suffer a hamstring injury.

Celtic did have Tom Rogic, Carl Starfelt and Nir Bitton available tonight but Cameron Carter-Vickers missed out due to personal reasons with Giorgos Giakoumakis still absent.

The latter part of the second half was a nervy period. Hearts sensed an opportunity to take a point and took full advantage of the baffling refereeing of Bobby Madden.

Five minutes of stoppage time were added but Celtic managed it well with more of a threat to the Hearts goal than Joe Hart’s.

Ange Postecoglou will need to do a head count for Sunday’s game against Dundee United with Ralston, Jota and Welsh looking doubtful starters.
