As if having Kyogo Furuhashi available for next Sunday’s League Cup Final against Hibs wasn’t enough one credible Twitter account had even more good news to share last night.
Not only could Kyogo be terrorising the Hibs defence at Hampden but he could also be joined by partner-in-crime Jota firing in goals and assists.
Throughout Friday and most of Saturday that would have seemed far fetched but towards lunchtime on Friday one Twitter account posted a rare optimistic update. According to the overnight quotes from Ange Postecoglou that Twitter message looks to be very close to the truth.
Jota and Kyogo will start in the cup final! Source same as the Kyogo source.

Kyogo Furuhashi will be out 10 days. He’ll be ready for the Cup final what I was told this morning.

On Wednesday, previewing the match against Real Betis, Ange Postecoglou wrote off the prospects of Jota being available at Hampden. The three/four week timeline given would suggest that the Glasgow derby on January 2 would be borderline with Hampden a non-runner.
The next on the record update with be given ahead of today’s match against Motherwell when Postecoglou gives an interview to Radio Scotland.
