Celtic won’t be caught out chasing rabbits while Ange Postecoglou is in charge.

Given the opportunity to discuss tomorrow’s match against Hearts it seemed that there were an awful lot of very contrived questions aimed at the Celtic boss at his broadcast media conference.

What happened at Tynecastle 25 matches ago isn’t really that relevant, extracting revenge tomorrow won’t recover the points lost at the end of July as Postecoglou, Carl Starfelt and Kyogo Furuhashi got their first taste of Scottish football.

The Celtic boss was asked about the significance of winning beyond the three points, how Hearts wanted to split the two Glasgow sides at the top and other questions that were far away from the actual match.

There won’t be any deep or especially significant value in tomorrow’s match, a win delivers three points that are quickly forgotten with two full days left to prepare for Dundee United at lunchtime on Sunday and three more points up for grabs.

There were a few mate replies thrown back by the Celtic boss but showing his imagination and how there is one focus tomorrow night Ange opted to go down the route of chasing rabbits!

Question: Ange, just with tomorrow night in mind is there an added incentive to make up for that defeat at the start of the season?

No, again, that’s going away from the principles of what we are trying to do. As I said, if you start chasing, you chase five rabbits and you’ll catch none. Our focus is one thing and that is to play our football, tomorrow night, play in our style, put some pressure on the opposition and hopefully that gets us a result which has worked for us so far.

Once that game is done we’ve got another pretty important game coming up straight afterwards and then as mentioned earlier it is a busy month. We can’t afford to worry about too many things other than playing our football.

There was a very decent question about Tom Rogic (11 minutes 20 seconds)from a fan media site, discussing the impact and alterations that the Australian brings to the team.
