Last gasp Ralston saves the day as referee Muir almost halts Celtic

Tony Ralston saved the day for Celtic with a 96th minute header to overcome the defiance of  Ross County and referee Alan Muir to claim three points in Dingwall tonight.

Liel Abada’s first half opener was cancelled out by a goal from Jack Baldwin in the 57th with Celtic’s hopes taking a turn for the worst in the 79th minute when Carl Starfelt was given two yellow cards.

A few minutes earlier the Swede had been left with a bloodied nose from the elbow of Jordan White that Muir failed to notice. Fortunately the stoppage time was put to good use as the 10 men pushed for a winner.

In the 95th minute Muir refused to give Celtic a penalty when a Callum McGregor shot was blocked by an elbow with just a corner awarded.

County failed to clear the corner, substitute Tom Rogic hung a cross to the back post with Ralston getting above two defenders to power home a header that was wildly celebrated by the visiting fans.
