Some Celtic fans are delighted that the club is taking the SFA to task over Crawford Allan’s radio appearance to discuss what he believes was ‘probably’ a goal that should have been disallowed for offside.
Less than two days after Kris Boyd and Robbie Neilson had been complaining about a decision that no-one has provided conclusive proof for the Head of Refereeing at the SFA was on Radio Scotland’s Sportsound show.
Allan hadn’t made a single media appearance this season but on the back of a 50-50 call he opted to speak out about a decision that went in Celtic’s favour.
Hoops fans instantly called out the double standards, nothing was heard after Nick Walsh only booked Chris Kane and Shaun Rooney for attacks on Cameron Carter-Vickers and Stephen Welsh.
The day after Allan hit the airwaves Calum Butcher was only booked for a sickening attack on David Turnbull. The Dundee United man has accepted a three match suspension but seven days later Allan has still not shared his views with the nation over the refereeing mistake.

Spot on, I’m glad the club have done this as well. The gnashing & wailing over a tight offside has been ludicrous when you compare some other decisions this season

Celtic apart other Clubs have raised concerns about the standard of refereeing, Since his appearance on the BBC has Mr Allan commented on any other contentious decisions?

Wow out they come from the boards bunker

Brilliant, basically Celtic are getting the SFA to tell one of their former referee’s to “Button it!” Not quite as good as Fergus McCann’s successful legal action against Jim Farry. Hey, it’s the start of the weekend, I’ll take it ?

Well done celtic, I said at the time if this person thought that was appropriate in light of all the decisions that went against us this season alone then he is unfit for purpose, “probably”.
