The creative minds at Ibrox probably thought that they could just fire out another delusional tweet and the Gullibles would stump up for the latest cash grab.
On top of My Gers membership, the most expensive tickets in the Europa League and the Lowland League Derby a Legends Match in March was an easy opportunity to raid the piggy banks of fans before January pay day.
What could possibly go wrong promoting a glamour match involving legends like Kris Boyd, Paul Gascoigne, Sasa Papac and Filip Sebo with tickets a generous £22 a head.
Someone just took things too far. As well as the continuity lie they tried to claim that they were the first major European club to reach 150 years. A mistake, on many fronts.
Erm, (1) #NFFC celebrated its sesquicentennial back in 2015. (2) We’ve actually won the European Cup. (3) We’ve never been banned from Europe for rioting. (4) We’ve never used EBTs to pay players, been liquidated and reconstituted so as to avoid paying taxes to HMRC…. https://t.co/DHbVRt8rQt

No-one in Scotland would dispute it but down in the English midlands there is a club with a bit of pride about themselves and a history that Dave Murray would have done anything for. European Cup winners in 1979 and 1980, as in twice.
Formed in 1865 Forest have survived the test of time, taken the bad times without resorting to tax scams and held their head up high.
Post Brian Clough they’ve had more downs that ups but they have their pride and history. Something that not every club that competed in the 1978/79 European Cup can say.
