It seems that that the welfare and optimism levels among Celtic fans is directly related to a Japanese hamstring.
When the hamstring belongs to the 14-goal talisman for Angeball that becomes understandable.
On Thursday night a fanbase held it’s breath when they say Kyogo Furuhashi sent on to replace Albian Ajeti midway through the first half of the dead-rubber against Real Betis. When he hit the deck in the 70th minute, left the pitch holding his hamstring all sorts of doomsday scenarios were played out.
With seven fixtures to be played before a 20 day break there wasn’t much to be cheerful over with Kyogo joining Jota on the sidelines as Celtic’s season is shaped one way or the other.
Suddenly things changed. Late on Saturday night the mood altered, not only was Kyogo a contender for next Sunday’s League Cup Final but he hadn’t been ruled out of facing Motherwell.
Most fans would happily leave the striker in cotton wool today, watch the match from the stand, perhaps avoid Dingwall on Wednesday then lead the line on full throttle at Hampden next Sunday and all the way through to the Glasgow derby on January 2.
Ange Postecoglou prompts Celtic sigh of relief as Kyogo return could be imminent and injury labelled nothing serioushttps://t.co/r2QB1QL7Yj pic.twitter.com/eOcfqO4WvJ
