Jeando Fuchs has claimed that Celtic have made an enquiry to his agent about his availability.

The 24-year-old spent most of this afternoon chasing shadows at Tannadice while delivering a few heavy challenges on Tom Rogic and James Forrest.

Fuchs seems to have made a decent impression at Dundee United but with James McCarthy, Ismaila Soro and Liam Shaw struggling to get first team action it is hard to see where the Tannadice midfielder would fit in.

In a lengthy Q and A with French website Foot Mercat they report:

Foot Mercat: do you already have concrete touches?

Jeando Fuchs: There have been contacts with Blackpool, Peterborough and Wigan. Stuttgart has taken information since this summer. There have been contacts from Celtic and Rangers as well, but nothing more. A Premier League club as well. England would be good.

The 24-year-old is certainly well travelled, leaving Cameroon to enjoy stints in France, Spain, Portugal and Israel before moving to Dundee United in the summer of 2020.

With Sochaux he was a regular in Lique 2 during the 2017/18 season but has struggled for minutes prior to joining Dundee United.

Like many SPFL players his contract runs out next May meaning that he is now eligible to sign a pre-contract deal for next season.
