Stephen McGowan has been included in the Celtic media roll call, responding to the replay claims Leslie Deans.

The former Hearts chairman suggested that last Thursday’s defeat at Celtic Park should be replayed on account of a plastic bottle hitting Barrie Mackay as he prepared to take a corner.

Sympathy was in short supply for Neil Lennon when a Hearts fans was able to walk along the touchline at Tynecastle before physically attacking the Celtic boss in the dug-out,

Rather than issue a statement on one of their own media platforms Celtic decided to send quotes from an un-named spokesman to their favourite newspapers and reporters.

On Tuesday night the comments were carried on the online editions of the Daily Record and in The Sun, not to miss out McGowan was also cut in on the story for the Daily Mail.

A load of tripe not much in the football news so this nonsense about a plastic container hitting a player still not right from some celtic idiot but papers give it big headlines. why don’t the media do proper job by looking into the disgrace of the tories having a party last Xmas time and people dying of covid no one allowed parties etc all they need to do is check the police log who comes in and who goes out at downing Street times and dates now that would be news not this rubbish.
