According to Google the distance from Glasgow to Dingwall is 180 miles with the restrictions of the A9 making it a three and a half hour journey. Each way.

It is a trip for only the most dedicated at the best of times, on a Wednesday night in December it is for the highly committed only.

At the weekend Plymouth fans were in the spotlight making the trip to Sunderland and back but a few Celtic fans can top that for tonight’s match.

Only the most understanding employer or dedicated fan in self employment makes the trip from Coventry or South London to Dingwall but Ange Postecoglou will have some very well-travelled backing tonight.

For the rest it will be online streams with Sky Sports blanking out the midweek action from the SPFL Premiership.

Tonight’s match is the first of three away days on the bounce with Celtic off to St Mirren and St Johnstone next week before going into the winter break with a visit from Hibs followed by the Glasgow derby on January 2.
