Giorgos Giakoumakis appears to be touch and go for Celtic’s League Cup Final against Hibs on December 19 at Hampden.
The striker hasn’t played since November 7, making a half hour appearance off the bench away to Dundee. It seems that a knee injury was picked up in that match.
Giakoumakis has only started two matches since his deadline day transfer from VVV Venlo but as one of Ange Postecoglou’s summer signings the hoops boss is keen to get him involved.

The 26-year-old was viewed as a signing that could take some of the pressure off Kyogo Furuhashi but with the busy December fixture list underway it looks like Giakoumakis will have limited game time.
Kyogo played for 88 minutes of Sunday’s 2-1 win over Aberdeen then the full 90 plus minutes in last night’s win against Hearts.
Albian Ajeti is the only other striker available to Postecoglou with nine more matches to be negotiated before the January break.
