Totally unacceptable- Stephen Craigan claims unsavoury celebrations take away from Ralston’s dramatic winner!

It took Stephen Craigan more than 20 seconds to react to Tony Ralston’s last gasp winner for Celtic at Ross County last night.

The former Motherwell defender certainly has a varied media portfolio with Ross County TV coming on top of his regular gigs for BT Sport, BBC Scotland and Sky Sports duties at international times.

Fans coming on the park following a 97th minute winning goal is regrettable but hardly something new, some perhaps overstepped the mark but no one appears to have been injured and it certainly didn’t detract from the significance of the match winning goal- unless you are Craigan.

What I would say, some of the scenes we are seeing on the pitch, fans on, this is totally unacceptable, totally unacceptable.

It’s a big goal, we know it’s a big goal, the scenes we are seeing at the minute are very unsavoury, it’s taking away from a wonderful header from Tony Ralston and everything that’s gone his way.

Ralston was the toast of the Celtic support, no need to doubt that.

From his opening day goal at Tynecastle to his goal-saving clearances against Ferencvaros his performances have received praise from the fans that had written him off last season with his name almost a by-word for frustration and stagnation during Celtic’s pre-season build up. But not now.

When you are down to 10 men, facing lost points in a tight title race it is something special when your right back pops up at the back post in the seventh minute of stoppage time- that is a story!
