Moussa Dembele has sent a New Year Message to Celtic fans- recalling the brilliant Hogmanay of 2016.
With Celtic unbeaten domestically under Brendan Rodgers they headed to Ibrox as League Cup winners with two wins under their belt against Mark Warburton’s newly promoted side.
It was a nervy start from the visitors as they lost an early goal but Ibrox was silenced before the break by a devastating shot from the confident young French guy. It was his fifth goal in the fixture having scored previously at Celtic Park and Hampden.
Unbeatable
Unstoppable
Uncatchable
???
Great memory that is ???
I should have taken the corner flag with me at the end of the game btw?!
Happy new year to you @CelticFC family ?? ! I wish you success & happiness for this new year ? https://t.co/nY6WwVqwZ1— Moussa Dembélé (@MDembele_10) December 31, 2021
Celtic dominated the second half but only had a goal from Scott Sinclair to show for their efforts as the clock ticked down on an eventful year.
For what seemed like three or four minutes Dembele ran the clock down at the corner flag with Celtic fans cheering every touch and second of time wasting.
