Ange Postecoglou has spoken out about Kyogo Furuhashi’s growing army of media critics.

Scoring the only goal of the game against Hearts last Thursday seems to have struck a raw nerve with an incredible controversy breaking out over a marginal decision that has still not been proven either way.

Alongside that pundits have been claiming that he hits the ground too easily despite some rough-house treatment off the ball from defenders.

Comments from former EPL referee Keith Hackett were picked up with top=spin added yesterday with The National deleting their story while stable-mate The Herald watered down the headline to tie in closer with the quotes.

On Go Radio Mark Guidi linked the Celtic striker with an increase in cheating but it seems that the growing criticism has finally forced Celtic into action with Postecoglou fronting up while the CEO and directors remain silent.

“…the CEO and the directors remain silent.” You’ll have to go back to Fergus McCann for the last time anyone spoke out.

We were told we no longer sit at the back of the bus, reality is, we are not even on the bus now

As I have said many times, honesty left Celtic’s Board, when Fergus left. The club was not saved in order to be put into the hands of one man. Desmond should recognise this NOW.
However, we now have a manager that is bringing honesty back to parts of the club, but the board must realise that it’s function is to run the club properly on behalf of shareholders and fans. It’s function is not to control and they must be held accountable for their actions or lack of actions.
One of the things they are accountable for is protection of our players, that is they have a duty of care for them, which extends to standing up for them when they need protection against the vandalism of the press and other players on the park.

On another note, it is very interesting to delve into past statements of the so called former referee Keith Hackett. It is quite revealing to say the least. I would not trust this character with anything.

    • Finbar muldoon says:

The board also have a duty of care to those who follow the team. Not hiring someone who colluded with peter lawwell to kettle fans. And kick their doors in, at 4.30 in the morning. HH
