‘Your own hypocrisy’ ‘Cry some more please’ ‘selective outrage’ Celtic fans take David ‘double standards’ Tanner to task

The sight of between 50 and 100 happy Celtic fans on the pitch at Ross County last night seemed to hit a very raw nerve for David Tanner.

Earlier this year the former Sky Sports anchor-man was in jovial mood as thousands of Covidiots twice descended on George Square, causing widespread damage and taking their own super-spreader events back to Bridgeton, Larkhall, Bearsden, Kilwinning and other areas.

Good natured was the verdict from Tanner but it wasn’t much fun for 36 police officers who had to self-isolate.

Glasgow was in Tier 4 at the time, people couldn’t visit relatives in care homes but the trashing of George Square was good natured to Tanner who was presenting Hibs TV last season.

It seems that Hibs, like Sky Sports previously, decided to release Tanner at the end of his contract, with Emma Dodds in place on ‘Rangers TV’ it seems that his media portfolio is shrinking rapidly for Neil McCann’s former telly pal.
