Anthony Joseph’s Transfer Deadline Day message to Celtic fans

Anthony Joseph isn’t expecting any incoming business at Celtic on transfer deadline day. 

The Sky Sports News reporter will be scanning the reports, speaking to contacts and agents throughout the day as fans wait for news of arrivals and departures. 

Celtic got the transfer window off to a flying start by announcing three signings from the J-League on December 31 with Matt O’Riley added midway through the window. 

Ange Postecoglou was very emphatic about no more deals when he spoke to the media on Friday but there is always the possibility of something springing up on the final day of the window. 

In the summer Jota, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Giorgos Giakoumakis were signed on the final day but all three had been speculated on- while Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie were sold.

In terms of Celtic, I’ve been told not to expect incomings, unless someone becomes available who’s too good to miss out on. Could see some fringe/younger players heading out – more likely on loan.

Osaze Urhoghide is believed to be close to joining Oostende with loan deals possible for Adam Montgomery, Vasilis Barkas and Boli Bolingoli.
