Osaze Urhoghide has spoken to James McPake but has stalled on a loan move to Dundee.

The 21-year-old joined Celtic last summer from Sheffield Wednesday but has only made one appearance, impressing at right-back in the 3-2 Europa League win over Real Betis.

Tony Ralston and Josip Juranovic will continue to battle it out for the right-back position with Celtic looking to get Urhoghide out on loan and playing regularly.

Dundee would appear to be a good option to test his defensive ability but it appears that the defender is holding off to see what other options are out there.

McPake told the Daily Record:

We spoke to Celtic regarding Osaze. It’s got to the point where we have spoken to the player, spoken to the agent and it looked like it was going to happen. It has stalled unfortunately, at the minute.

Dundee are in second bottom place in the SPFL Premiership and look like being locked in a relegation battle through until the end of the season.

Morecambe have also enquired about taking Urhoghide on loan, with the SPFL resuming next week it would seem like this weekend would be the ideal time to make his decision.
