Celtic will find out on January 22 whether or not they will be able to request the postponement of three SPFL Premiership matches due to international call ups.

Tom Rogic is a cert to be named in the Australia squad for World Cup qualifiers on January 27 and February 1 but the make up of the Japan squad for matches against China and Saudi Arabia is less certain.

Kyogo Furuhashi should be available and selected for international duty but Reo Hatate and Daizen Maeda are less certain of their places in Hajime Moriyasu’s squad.

If three players are away on international duty SPFL clubs can request fixture postponements, Celtic are due at Tynecastle on January 26 then host Dundee United on the 29th with the Glasgow derby scheduled for February 2. Only the Dundee United match isn’t scheduled for coverage from Sky Sports.

Should Celtic ask for postponements if they are missing three internationalists?

Celtic already have a schedule of two matches a week until March 5 which rules out rescheduling fixtures before that date.

The final pre-split matches are scheduled for April 9, if Celtic progress in the UEFA Conference beyond Bodo Glimt there are very limited options to reschedule the fixtures.
