With the transfer rumour mill pausing for breath Celtic fans took in some shopping today, in IKEA with Jota.
Recent speculation about Celtic and Benfica discussing a permanent move has turned out to be just that- speculation,
At his Thursday media conference Ange Postecoglou wasn’t giving anything away with his main concern being the fitness and return of the Portuguese winger.
Jota returned to Scotland in midweek, on Thursday he featured in first team training but appears unlikely to be involved in Monday’s restart match at home to Hibs.
With a rare blank weekend on his hands it seems that the winger took to the shops, not the usual clothes shops for a footballer but with homeware catching his eye some glass half-full fans are seeing that as a sign of a long term commitment.
Fortunately football and normal times return on Monday night although it’s likely that Celtic fans will be looking at every shred of evidence to convince them that Jota is about to sign up to a long term stay.

Very smart of him to wear his jammie tap when out buying pillows. Most people wouldn’t have thought of that.
