Kyogo Furuhashi by-passed convention to post pictures preparing for some rock negotiating in his New Year’s Day message to Twitter followers.
Celtic fans were quick to reply with many turning to Google Translate to provide a reply in Japanese.
It is unlikely that the pictures have been taken in the last couple of days with the weather less than appealing and the striker suffering a hamstring injury last Sunday away to St Johnstone.
There has been no update on that injury since Ange Postecoglou spoke after the match with hoops fans hoping that the three week break can give their top scorer the rest needed to return to full fitness in the new year.
At the start of 2021 Kyogo was almost unknown in Scotland, as the year came to an end he is one of the most recognisable names and faces in the country.
Since a home debut hat-trick against Dundee in August he has carried the hopes of the Celtic support, a week before Christmas at Hampden he delivered the first trophy of the season with a double against Hibs.
Provided there are no mishaps on the rocks 2022 promises plenty more for Kyogo and the Celtic support.
