‘Worry about your own team, never mind Kyogo’ ‘Always about the Famous’ ‘Alex is worried’ Rae taken to task over bizarre request

After an exciting night of Premiership action Alex Rae’s first tweet of the day was to question Ange Postecoglou over Kyogo Furuhashi’s hamstring injury.

On Wednesday night the former St Mirren and Dundee manager was on Radio Clyde’s Super Scoreboard programme previewing the five Premiership matches.

Of closest interest would have been the action from Ibrox which he probably watched rather than Sky’s coverage of Celtic v Hearts.

Reo Hatate scored an amazing 25-yarder, Giorgos Giakoumakis showed brilliant skill to beat Ibrox-bound John Soutar and Craig Gordon to double Celtic’s lead. There was also an impressive debut from Matt O’Riley.

Where Kyogo fits in only Rae will know but there were plenty of suggestions from Celtic fans to the pundit about his 8.41am tweet.

It looks very unlikely that Kyogo will feature in next week’s derby but Hatate, O’Riley, Jota and Giakoumakis could feature in the fixture for the first time which might give Rae something else to worry about.

If Rae is so concerned about the injured Celtic striker he can get one of his Radio Clyde colleagues to ask Postecoglou about his welfare at tomorrow’s media conference.
