Aaron Ramsey takes time out with luxury Gleneagles break

While his team-mates prepared for a vital European tie Aaron Ramsey took his wife and kids off to a luxury break at Gleneagles. 

On Wednesday afternoon Giovanni van Bronckhorst announced that the midfielder wouldn’t be available to face Borussia Dortmund- that night Ramsey and his family checked in to stay at the luxury hotel. 

His wife Coleen showed off family snaps with the 31-year-old kitted out in his Castore Sports club gear.

The Sun reports: 

Yesterday, the Welsh international spent time with his wife Colleen and their children as they enjoyed a trip to Gleneagles. 

And the family spent the night at the luxury hotel as they woke up to its snow-covered grounds this morning. 

In one image shared on Instagram by Colleen, Ramsey could be seen standing with a bird of prey on his arm while his children watched on. 

Another picture showed Colleen with her kids standing in front of a pond in the grounds of the hotel. And the couple also posted their own images of the snowy landscape at Gleneagles this morning. 

The family’s trip comes a week after Ramsey treated Colleen to a romantic lunch in Cardiff when he booked out an entire restaurant. 

Ramsey moved to Ibrox on loan from Juventus last month to an incredible fanfare but almost four weeks later the only match that he has started was away to Annan in the Scottish Cup. 

Three substitute appearances haven’t added up to 45 minutes which is in line with his contribution to Juventus before his loan move. 

With Wales playing Austria in a World Cup play-off on March 24 Ramsey is expected to step up his fitness programme in the coming weeks.
