Ally’s Anger- McCoist hits out at Celtic’s winning goal at Aberdeen

Celtic’s title challenge is wiping the smile from Ally McCoist’s face.

Since last Wednesday’s Glasgow derby there has been something of a mood change in the normally jovial media personality.

Multiple television and radio appointments will clearly help the bank balance but there are few hiding places for the former Ibrox boss when results aren’t to his satisfaction.

On Wednesday he had hit out at the trolling from media buddies like Shay Given and Trevor Sinclair, last night he had to suffer through Celtic’s narrow but deserved win over Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

Picking up on his early morning appearance on TalkSPORT with Alan Brazil discussing Celtic’s winning goal, the Daily Record reports McCoist saying:

They can’t make their mind up over whether it was one yard offside, two yards offside or three yards offside. They just can’t make their mind up mate, you’re having a laugh! Not only is he offside – he’s offside and he interferes with the boy trying to block the tackle.

Straight after the match the media spotlight was on Celtic’s third goal with claims of offside and foul play made against Liel Abada.

What seems to have been overlooked was a first half ‘goal’ from Jota that was disallowed with the winger neither looking offside of using foul play. At Aberdeen’s first goal, 2 minutes 30 seconds in the video below, Scott Brown has his arms up preventing Carl Starfelt from blocking Christian Ramirez’s shot.

The Jota goal never made it on to the highlights reel.

In the end Celtic took full points, maintained their winning run and are in top spot after a difficult run of fixtures covering trips to Hearts, Motherwell and Aberdeen alongside hosting a Glasgow derby.
