Prompted by a plea from Giovanni van Bronckhorst the team at BBC Scotland decided to analyse offside decisions at Ibrox yesterday.
Like Kyogo Furuhashi’s goal against Hearts at the start of December there was no evidence that any of the match officials had got the decisions wrong.
No cameras were available in line with the penalty area but that was good enough for the pundits, usually containing two former Ibrox employees, preferably having at least one EBT, to spin the message that the home side had been on the end of bad refereeing decisions.
He looks well offside ???? did sportscene do analysis of Maeda being offside last week despite FIVE players playing him onside? pic.twitter.com/C0qHUL2wKS

Pause at 3 seconds
Interest in offside calls seems to be highly selective. Last week against Dundee Daizen Maeda found a flag raised against him despite FIVE Dundee players being closer to the goal-line when the ball was played.
Maybe the editorial team at Sportscene hadn’t been prompted?
