Leigh Griffiths started his first match for Falkirk today but lasted just over an hour as his new club went down to a 2-0 defeat away to Cove Rangers.
The defeat leaves Falkirk four points adrift of Queens Park in the final play-off position and a massive 23 points adrift of leaders Cove who are chasing Championship football for the first time ever.

There has been no comment or statement about Griffiths from Celtic since he joined Dundee on loan at the end of August after signing a new 12 month contract.
A year ago he was trying to convince Celtic to take up the option in his 2018 contract but it wasn’t until July 1 that a fresh deal was agreed.
Moving down to the third tier of Scottish football was a big risk for Griffiths to take, if he fails to get among the goals at Falkirk he could be struggling to find a new club during the close season as he approaches his 32nd birthday.
