Aaron Ramsey has revealed that he won’t be available to play in tomorrow’s Glasgow derby.

The midfielder signed on loan from Juventus to a fanfare last night but has had very limited playing time this season with just three appearances in Serie A.

Over the last fortnight the gap at the top of the table has been reduced from six points to just two which gives Celtic the opportunity to go top of the table on Wednesday night.

Discussing his fitness, Ramsey told The Sun:

I’m probably going to be a little bit short for the Old Firm game but hopefully I can get myself ready this week and look forward to getting ready for the weekend, really.

I’ve had these conversations with the manager and the staff and hopefully we can get a plan in place to get going and back up to match fitness as soon as possible.

During the January window Giovanni van Bronckhorst also added James Sands and Mateusz Zukowski to his squad but was unable to agree a deal with Hearts for John Sottar who has signed a pre-contract deal to move in the summer.

Both managers will speak to the media today to preview Sunday’s match which will be refereed by Bobby Madden, his sixth Celtic appointment of the season.
