Sky Sports and BBC Scotland didn’t want to include the incident in their highlights package but there is little doubt that Hibs were denied justice at Ibrox last night.

Trailing by 1-0 early in the first half, Ryan Porteous moved forward when his side were awarded a corner kick on the right-hand side.

Calvin Bassey recognised the threat posed by the Hibs defender by putting his left arm around the Hibs defender. When Porteous tried to break free from the Ibrox defender he was rugby tackled to the ground.

Despite having awarded a fifth minute penalty for the home side Nick Walsh failed to do likewise for Hibs.

Walsh has taken charge of 12 Premiership matches this season, last night was his fifth involving the club from Ibrox. The three players that he has sent off this season were all playing against Sevco- Porteous, Stephen O’Donnell and Josh Ginnelly.

Speaking about the incident to STV, Hibs boss Shaun Maloney said:

The penalty (claim) was a big decision. That would have changed the dynamic too. But that’s done. At the time, I couldn’t quite see it. But, looking back, it’s quite clear it was a penalty. I know it’s difficult for referees with no VAR, mistakes can happen, but it was a clear penalty for me.

Believe it or not , this rat comes from a celtic supporting family in the east end of Glasgow, over-compensating for the fact to his masonic employers !!

  • JTT says:

    No penalty!
    No surprise!
    No surrender?

    • David Tolmie says:

Why is anyone surprised the most used 2 statements on a Sevco game are Penalty Rangers and how’s that not a Penalty stonewaller HH

      • Jim Duffy says:

David ,it’s TAV PEN,I live in England and people come up to and ask ,who’s Tav Pen brilliant goalscorer and ask why is he not playing for engurland,I’ve got to answer his name is tavernier ,and they fuck is that all he scores aided by by jock masonic refs ,and I say that his why he is fuck all and will never play for engurland.

  • Dora says:

It wasn’t a proper rugby tackle as he should have tackled him lower so I get it why the referee couldn’t give a pen against sevco footy klub

  • Pauline Gallacher says:

It was Millon percent penalty to Hibs ggtth nick Walsh is rangers supporter should never be allowed to reffere a game pure dirty stinky hoodrat ?corrupt reffere nick Walsh shame on you fuckin rat

  • Seppington says:

He’s not looking at it at the start but they fall straight into his field of vision with Bassey’s arm clearly wrapped around Porteous. A real ref would ask his linesman at the very least but not this loyal member of the brethren.
I think their’s probably was a penalty but there’s minimal contact. It’s very soft, but staunch gonna staunch and there’s the whistle…

    • Larsson 7 says:

We know where NW allegiances lie.So a guy who teaches the stars of the future at Ibrox,is allowed to Referee, games of said team.
It is not right, would not been Allowed,in England, and it’s cheating,
question, what exactly do Maxwell and others do at the SFA,the silent mob.

  • KC67 says:

The bottom line is its cheating. Simple as that. The referees can’t be trusted when 9 out of 10 support one klub.
The SFA will talk about VAR when the klub have successfully cheated their way to the champions league money. The establishment are all on board.

  • Dex says:

He didnt miss it he just didnt give it.Waish works for The Rangers International in some capacity, the pictures of him in a The Rangers International track suit are out there. Its a confloct of interests and wouldnt be allowed to happen in another country. If this was the other way round letters would be dispatched to the SFA,the media would be all over it.Games a bogey

  • Bigmick says:

I’ve seen some fkn iffy decisions (or non decisions) in my 50 yrs watching Celtic and Scottish football, but this really is taking the piss.
Hibs should be kicking up a shitstorm about this one…

  • Jim Duffy says:

To be fair guys ,this happens and always will happen because Scotland is a bigoted orange masonic best little fucked up country in the world ,every country is well come for asylum but a tip to any boat people or asylum seekers to Scotland ,make sure you don’t tell them you’re Irish or Catholic because Scotland does not welcome everyone with open arms.

    • Jim says:

Makes you wonder how we did quadruple treble Jim.

      • Jim Duffy says:

It also makes me wonder how Sevco got 4 penalties in 1 game ,I’m sure it was son of Dallas,it also makes me wonder how they never got a red card in over 2 years and more penalties in 1 season .Im sorry I went overboard with the Scottish bigoted line but there is definitely something going on here, remember the ” anyone but Celtic ” refs.

  • Bhoy4life says:

You can clearly see Walsh turn his head and look directly at the incident, he just turns away.
Aberdeen penalty box….he wouldn’t have enough whistles in his pocket.
We better be prepared for this moron in the middle when we visit.
