Sensitive McCoist hits out at Celtic supporting pundit pals

Ally McCoist has hit out at the pundits that have been giving him a hard time since last week’s Glasow Derby.

The former Ibrox boss was on co-commentary duty as Celtic won 3-0 but the suffering has continued since the final whistle blew.

Over the last 15 months McCoist has been in full cheeky chappy mode with his jibes at Celtic on air keenly reported by online newspapers.

As well as winning the bragging rights last week Celtic took over at the top of the SPFL Premiership and unlined their intention to stay there with a 4-0 win on the road at Motherwell.

Covering his early morning stint on TalkSPORT, the Daily Record reports McCoist saying:

The pea hadn’t stopped rolling about in the referee’s whistle, and Shay and Robbie Keane had been on the phone to me, there’s no need for that!

I don’t bask in my own team’s success anything like that. I knew I would get a bit from the lads, but not that quickly, that was a world record. But I said before, your team were excellent, particularly in the first-half.

Turning to Trevor Sinclair he added:

Another one worth a mention is that wee Sinclair. He was bumping his gums as well, he was another one that gave me a message!

McCoist’s media work covers TalkSPORT, Sky Sports, BT Sport, ITV and at the weekend he is likely to be part of Premier Sports coverage of the Scottish Cup.
