Sky Sports reporter is gutted by Motherwell’s Ibrox draw

With Kris Boyd giggling his way back to Ayrshire from Easter Road there was a vacancy in the Sky Sports studio to cover the action from Ibrox.

Alan Hutton stepped in to cover the action, for 45 minutes it was looking like a dream gig as the gap at the top of the SPFL Premiership table narrowed.

But then a former team-mate of Hutton had something of a nightmare. Safehands Greegsy is suddenly looking like a 40-year-old trying to defy time without the offer of a contract for next season.

John Lundstram, Connor Goldson and James Tavernier didn’t do McGregor any favours but that is why he wears the gloves, makes the saves and earns the acclaim.

Today wasn’t his day, just as it wasn’t away to Ross County and at Celtic. The goals are flying past McGregor leaving Giovanni van Bronckhorst with some big decisions to make.

Steve Davis has already been binned, dropping another legend won’t go down well with Hutton or Boyd if the SPFL title is lost to Celtic.
