STV get very close to the truth as they call out the liquidation of Rangers Football Club

STV News got close to the truth yesterday as they recalled the momentous events of 14 February 2012.

The Glasgow based broadcaster was actually first to break the news of the club going into administration, later in 2012 STV and every other mainstream outlet tied themselves in knots with tales about engine house boilers, separate companies and holding firms.

In February 2012 the club went into administration, in June liquidation of the club got underway on behalf of 276 creditors and thousands of fans that bought Debenture seats in the Club Deck.

Administration was followed by liquidation at the end of the season.

Under the new ownership of Charles Green another era began in the bottom tier of the Scottish League set up.

Ten years on there is still a football club here at Ibrox, they still wear blue kit and they are called Rangers.

STV have paid for media access to Ibrox allowing Raman and the team to ask a question or two.

Allan McGregor, Steven Whittaker, Kyle Lafferty, Steven Naismith, John Fleck and others refused to join the Tribute Act. Ally McCoist, Lee McCulloch and Lee Wallace had their contracts TUPE’d over.
