Absolutely depressing- Rangers Fans For Change call out Dens Park songbook as authorities and broadcasters stay silent

Ibrox fans again poisoned the airwaves as they cheered their team to victory away to Dundee.

It seems that the recent decision of the club to play a friendly against Celtic in Australia has triggered an increase in the songs of hate about Catholics or Ireland or better still Irish Catholics in the same song.

There were less than 6,000 fans inside Dens Park with just 1,200 home supporters as the Dundee support gave their verdict on recent events and managerial changes.

The away support was made up entirely of known Season Ticket holders who are members of My Gers, a money making scheme to identify and reward high spending fans.

Twice in 2019 UEFA forced partial stadium closures of Ibrox due to racists chants, since formation in 2012 no sanctions have been applied by the SFA or SPFL against the weekly anti-Irish and anti-Catholic songbook.

Today’s match was broadcast by Premier Sports and BBC Scotland without any comment on the singing, next Sunday the same fans will be back at Dens Park for an SPFL fixture.
