Celtic have finally confirmed that they will play a Glasgow derby as part of the Sydney Super Cup.

On March 1 the club announced that there would be an Ange Homecoming Tour in November with the club involved in a four-team tournament in Sydney. No further details were offered such as dates or opponents.

The following day full details were announced by the organisers of the Sydney Super Cup with the showcase fixture involving the two Glasgow clubs on November 20.

Today after seven paragraphs drooling over a friendly against Sydney FC Celtic confirmed:

The Sydney Super Cup Tournament will be played during the season break and will see Celtic returning to Australia after hugely successful visits in previous years. Celtic will also play in a Glasgow derby match on November 20, 2022.

Tickets for the tournament have gone on sale today with some concerns that the organisers haven’t realised the extent of the rivalry that they have taken on.

It seems that two large sections of the stadium have been allocated to neutral fans, even on the other side of the world there are unlikely to be many neutral fans attracted to pay for tickets to the derby match.

This will end badly!! We should never be playing that poison over in Sydney I lived there great city ,good cosmopolitan population, plenty Celts and we had our own pub ” cheers” slap bang in centre of the city on george st.

But playing anything from that hellhole breeding ground of hate will bring us hassle they have no real mobilsed fan base there believe me but the cretins will come out from under their rocks and do what scum do, Celtic should never have allowed this as it’s our show we are the draw!

No hindsight needed here and we they cause chaos we be dragged in, hopefully this gets changed as its madness being involved overseas with that poison! But enough having to play them here! Plus this talk of 80,000 out at the Olympic station in the Homebush is no big deal we have got that playing anyone!

Spurs had 78,000 there in 2015 so you get me, anyway Hail Hail let’s get another TREBLE in the bag
