Celtic’s Scottish Cup semi-final tie will be played at Hampden on Sunday April 17 with a 2pm kick off. The previous day Hampden will host the Edinburgh derby.

Ticket details have still to be released, with the gate money from both matches split four ways agreement has still to be reached between the competing clubs but tickets will be split 50-50 for both games.

Individual tickets for a Glasgow derby are generally priced at around £50, it is unlikely that the Edinburgh clubs will agree to charge their own fans that price for a Saturday lunchtime game in Glasgow.

It will be the second time in April that the two Glasgow sides have faced each other, on April 3 they will play at Ibrox in the SPFL with no word yet of whether Celtic will be given an allocation of tickets.

The first round of post-split SPFL fixtures will be played on April 23/24 raising the prospect of three Glasgow derbies at three venues within a three week period. Celtic are at home to St Johnstone the weekend before their semi-final clash.
